Change the way Joomla devs implement jQuery
In case you missed it I posted a blog post yesterday on the Joomla Bamboo blog regarding the way third party Joomla developers implement the jQuery javascript library. The basic thesis is that there needs to be some consensus of how jQuery is implemented in order to remove javascript conflicts that occur simply because more than one extension uses jQuery on the page. Using the loadposition syntax in Joomla
I just posted a handy little tutorial over on the Joomla Bamboo blog about using the loadposition plugin as a way of placing often used content strings in your Joomla content. I used it a lot in the rebuild of Joomla Bamboo so I thought it might be helpful for people using needing a similar solution.

Wordpress Theme Clubs and Shops
Since Ive been focussing on Joomla template design and development Ive had my head in the sand so to speak in regards to Wordpress clubs and theme shops. Of course there are some big names that most people will probably already know about – such as woothemes. But I was surprised to find that there are probably the same number of clubs catering to the wordpress platform as there are for Joomla. In my mind, Jooma has always been renowned for the diversity in its commercial template offerings while wordpress for the sheer number of professional free wordpress themes available.
